Maintenance and support

Maintenance and support for your e-commerce

An online store is not finished on launch day: it has to be updated, protected and improved over time. I take care of maintenance and support for your store, so you can focus on sales and know who to call when something goes wrong.

Why ongoing maintenance matters

Platforms, modules and payment tools receive security and compatibility updates all the time. If they are not applied, the store becomes more exposed to problems and, over time, harder and more expensive to update.

Maintenance prevents those problems and gives you someone who knows your store when an intervention is needed. It does not replace good initial development, but it keeps it healthy over time.

Who it is for

  • Anyone with a store and no one looking after it since launch.
  • Anyone who inherited the store from another agency or developer and does not know who to ask for help.
  • Anyone whose store has not been updated in a while and wants it back in order.
  • Anyone who needs small changes and improvements without opening a new project each time.

What problems it solves

Security updates put off

Fixes are prepared, tested and applied with a method that avoids stopping sales, where the infrastructure allows it.

Technical problems with no point of contact

Checkout errors, pages that do not load or modules that break are analysed and fixed by someone who knows your store.

A store that slows down over time

Periodic checks of performance and weak points, to step in before customers notice.

Rules and requirements that change

Adjustments to new online-selling and payment rules, such as the withdrawal button or payment security requirements, when they apply to your store.

What is included

  • Platform and module updates and security fixes
  • Fixing reported errors and problems
  • Periodic checks of performance, backups and operation
  • Review of security bulletins that affect your store
  • Small changes and new features, billed hourly
  • Regulatory adjustments that affect the store
  • A single contact who knows your project

Which platforms

I look after stores on Magento 2, Adobe Commerce, Mage-OS, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Shopify, including ones built by others. Before starting I review the store's state and tell you what to fix first.

If your store runs a version that no longer receives updates, we decide together whether to update it or move to a new platform: see the page on replatforming and migrations.

How I work

  1. Initial check

I review version, modules, security, performance and backups, and present the priorities.

  2. Support agreement

We agree how it works: hourly, with a block of hours or with periodic interventions, and how you contact me.

  3. Scheduled maintenance

Updates are planned, tested and applied in low-traffic windows.

  4. Help when needed

I receive your reports, analyse them and step in within agreed times.

  5. Reporting and improvements

I keep you informed on what was done and suggest next steps.

Frequently asked questions

How much does e-commerce maintenance cost?

It depends on the platform, the size of the store and the level of support. I work hourly, starting at €60/hour, with discounts for large projects and for long-term collaborations or ongoing support. Quotes are always free and with no obligation.

Do you take over a store built by others?

Yes. I start with a check of the store's state and tell you clearly what needs fixing and in what order.

How fast do you respond?

Response times are agreed at the start, based on your needs and my availability. I do not promise round-the-clock support: I prefer clear, realistic agreements.

Do I really need to update often?

Security updates, yes: putting them off exposes the store to risk and makes later steps more complex. Feature updates can be planned more calmly.
