AI for your catalog

Boost your catalog with artificial intelligence

Writing hundreds of product pages, assigning categories and filling in attributes takes weeks of work. Artificial intelligence can speed up these tasks, provided it is used with clear rules and human review. I help you bring it into your store safely.

What AI can do for a catalog

AI tools can draft product descriptions, suggest categories, extract attributes from text and images, translate product pages and improve your site's search. They are an aid for whoever manages the catalog, not a replacement.

They work well when they start from correct product data and the results are checked. That is why I build them into a workflow where a person approves what gets published.

Who it is for

  • Anyone with a large catalog and little time to write and update product pages.
  • Anyone receiving incomplete supplier data or data in different languages.
  • Anyone selling in several countries who needs product translations.
  • Anyone wanting customers to find products more easily through the site search.

What problems it solves

Product pages written by hand, one by one

AI prepares a first draft from the data you have, and you review and approve instead of writing from scratch.

Inconsistent categories and attributes

Products are classified and attributes filled in uniformly, with suggestions your team checks.

Slow, costly translations

Draft translations of product pages for new markets, to be checked before publishing.

Weak on-site search

A search that better understands customer queries, such as synonyms and free-text descriptions, helps people find the right product.

What I can build

  • Draft product descriptions in your style and following your rules
  • Automatic suggestions for categories and attributes
  • Attribute extraction from text, data sheets and images
  • Translation of product pages into several languages
  • Image alt text and meta descriptions
  • Smarter catalog search
  • Approval flow before publishing

Limits and cautions

AI can make mistakes and invent details: that is why every text must be reviewed before publishing, especially technical data, measurements and materials. I set up checks and rules to reduce errors, but I do not eliminate them entirely.

Data needs care too: text sent to an AI service leaves your systems. I choose suitable tools and settings with you, avoid sending personal data, and consider data protection rules. Text quality for Google also needs watching: generic, repetitive content brings no advantage.

How I work

  1. Catalog analysis

I look at your data and find where AI saves the most time.

  2. Trial on a group of products

I start with a few dozen product pages to assess quality and time saved with real numbers.

  3. Rules and style

I define instructions, tone of voice and checks, based on your products.

  4. Integration

I connect the tool to your store or PIM, with approval before publishing.

  5. Improvement over time

I review results and rules with you and extend them to the rest of the catalog.

Frequently asked questions

Does Google penalize AI-generated text?

Google assesses how useful content is, not the tool used. Generic or repetitive text does not help either way: that is why drafts must be personalized and reviewed.

Can I trust what AI writes?

Not without checking. For technical data and important details a person must verify, which the workflow requires before publishing.

What happens to my data?

It depends on the tool chosen. I check the terms of use and settings with you, and do not send customers' personal data.

How much does it cost?

It depends on catalog size and the connections needed, plus the usage cost of the AI tools. I work per project, with a quote defined together, or hourly starting at €60/hour, with discounts for large projects and for long-term collaborations or ongoing support. Quotes are always free and with no obligation.
